HSL supported ROP equipment Inaugurated

Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), a Mini Ratna Defence PSU, sponsored Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) equipment was inaugurated by Commodore Rakesh Prasad, Director (Corporate Planning & Personnel) HSL at an event held in Sankar Foundation here on Wednesday under its CSR initiative. The equipment—3 Netra Neo units was supplied by Forus Health Private Limited. The 3nethra neo is a compact, portable, and user-friendly mydriatic wide-field digital imaging system designed for photo documentation of paediatric ocular diseases in infants. Speaking on the occasion,Rakesh Prasad said that “we were highly impressed by the services of Sankar Foundation in its journey towards achieving avoidable blindness in the society and assured to extend all types of support to the foundation which is known for best practices in eye care management in this region”. Foundation managing trustee A Krishna Kuma stated in a message that the support is not just a donation it’s a lifeline for children at risk of losing their sight.
